The best free streaming services (with no signup tricks)
Free ad-supported streaming (FAST) has quietly become a real category. The catalogs aren't as fresh as paid services, but for older movies and TV reruns, you don't need to pay anything.
Tubi
Owned by Fox. Big catalog of older movies and original films. No signup required to start watching.
Pluto TV
Owned by Paramount. Live "channels" that mimic cable, plus on-demand. Heavy on Paramount-owned content.
Freevee
Amazon's free tier. Some surprisingly recent titles, but you'll see ads even on its originals.
The Roku Channel
Free even if you don't own a Roku device. A mix of older catalog and some originals.
The catch
Ad loads are heavier than on paid services and selection rotates often. For "I want to watch a specific new movie tonight" these aren't the answer — but for background entertainment they're real.
